gawd!...after going gaga over Meteor Garden..heto n nman ako over Memories of Bali..
what can i do..im helpess over the entire cast's charms especially papa Paulo and the soap's good story...
very captivating..ang ganda ng script...how i wish ganito gumawa ang mga Filipino scriptwriters..simple lang at wala masyadong twist...kakapagod kasi panoorin ang mga tagalog soaps..yun na nga lang ang mode of entertainment mo..papahirapan ka pa....no wonder hit na hit ang mga foreign soaps...
here's a nice blog where you could read the MOB's synopsis
the long wait is over Harry Potter Movie 4 is on its way to our theaters!..woohoo!
i've seen the trailer and the movie's effects and cinematography seems like the previous movie which was very good.....
since book 4 is the start of the dark mood of the HP series, we can expect that this movie will show a little morbid side of HP..hmmmm..to what extent kaya...
the premiere will be on November 18 but here in the Philippines..they will play it on November 23 pa...so sad nman for sure ang haba n nman ng pila sa mga movie houses nyan..
i wonder kung meron ng pirated DVD sa Quiapo..hahahaha
anyway, here a scene from the movie..its kinda dark though...
i wonder who are those people in the background....sa book, as far as i can remember, si Harry and Cedric lang ang nandoon sa room where the Goblet of Fire is located..hmmm..
i was assigned in the Human Resource Mgt Department together with my quasi-blockmate Liza..
i'm really glad that im assigned there, thinking that there wont be too much stuffs that we'll gonna be doing but..siomai!...i was wrong...
not that we were made into slaves or something...the people here were really kind and all but what they made us do were really tiring and kinda nauseous....
last tues and wednesday, we were filing and constructing memos which were supposedly be easy but when you're filing all the Personnel Index Cardsand Daily Time Records of ALL Treasury employees all over the Philippines alphabetically...you'll probably think again.
then yesterday we were asked to compute the Vacation and Sick Leaves as well as the Overtime pay of the employees...i prefer this one than the filing and memo stuff but this one is really tiring coz you really have to check one by one each employee's time card and see if they have any absences, late time-ins and overtime services....kakaduling talaga...
i found out na talagang madaya yung ibang offices kc sobrang questionable yung mga time-ins ng mga employee..halos pareho at walng mga late..minsan nman sobrang daming absences at leave..oh well...
today..ah..mas grabe...
we were asked to proofread/double check the updated the Personnel Data Sheets (its like a curiculum vitae)...of each employee in all regional offices pati na rin ang sa central office..eh each employee ay may tig at least 4 pages...siomai!
we have to scruntinize each page for wrongly filled boxes...eh most of the time mali mag fill-up..eh di shempre we have to do it by ourselves..madugo xa sobra!
armed with a black ballpen, correctional white liquid paper and scissors ..ayun..we rewrite-corrected their Salary grades, some personal infos, picture sizes pati proper way of dates..susme!!...
grabe madaming hindi marunong magfollow ng instructions!
paano ba sila nakapasok sa public office?!
pero infairness, with such experience i learned and realized a few things..
1. always follow instructions
2. nver under estimate anyone and instead believe in their ability to improve..
there were a some of employees who have not finished their degrees or even did not pursue any tertiary education but still got promoted from their old low position because of perseverance and dedication in their work..i saw it in their curiculum vitae
3. always aim high...
make room for self improvement...
(this made me think of getting a masters degree sometime in the near future for fast career progress)
last thursday was enrolment day. after paying for my tuition in the Eng'g College..I txted Aizza, asking where is she (for no reasons..wla lang maggawa..)..after a few minutes, she txted back, telling me na she and Keen are going to shop in ukay ukay stores but still havent decided exactly where..i want to go with them so i told them that i'll meet them up wherever they are and help them out....we decided to go to cubao coz Babit.. another friend of ours recommended a shop there...so on we go...
in our search for good finds, talagan nmang sinuyod nman ang buong shopping area ng cubao...sa paglalayom namin..gulay! muntikan pa kaming mahuli because we accidentally jaywalk..call it stupidity but swear...we didnt mean to jaywalk...kami pa eh public adminstration majors kami! hehehe...
nwei, after more than three hours of constant walking ang rummaging of uhay store, we've finally settled buying 1 pretty skirts for aizza and 1 formal top for me...they were really good finds coz they're still perfectly in good conditions...
the secret when you looking for good finds in ukay ukay is to have a watchful and skillful eye and a pretty good imagination...
since most of the clothes are second hand, one must have the "skill" and patience to run through all the clothing racks before settling into one...and since some clothes are sometimes in poor conditions..(some having a missing button or maybe a torn sleeve but mostly they're only dirty)....one must have that imagination thing im talking about so that s/he see the "real beauty" of the clothes...buying clothes in ukays is like looking into a person's inner beauty rather than the physical..
naks..lalim..but hey its true...
im a certified and proud ukay babe..hahaha....
in fact, some of my cool clothes that many people really drool over are ukays...talaga nman!
mas luma mas ok..but of course hindi lang yung basta bastang vintage...
i like those that have some modern twist...kaya usually i personally embellish some of my old clothes...and turn them into a totally different top or skirt...
i also love wearing dresses..but its really hard to find a nice vintage dress these days...
im always in the look out nga whenever me and my mom shop...she, like me also loves shopping...in fact she's my shopping buddy...
sometimes she complains about my taste in fashion..kasi raw i like weird stuffs but
it turns out after sometime..yung ilan sa mga nabibili ko ay yung nagiging next fashion trend...hah, what a coincidence...im kinda lucky, huh?..
one friend told me baka may ESP ako in fashion...i'd like to think meron nga...hahaha..para never kong maging fashion victim..still baka coincidence pa rin...
sayang nga at philippines doesnt have a winter season...i would really love to wear ponchos and winter clothes..siguro i'll fly to australia right after graduation para maranasan yun....hehehe...
anyway, so much with my vintage crap..here's a good store (although i haven't been there..yet) that sells vintage clothes and stuffs...
dear reader,
if you're a vintage fan like i am..then better schedule a trip there...perhaps you'll enjoy it...ILOVEYOU STORE
and yah by the way there's another one in cubao..but i forgot exctly where it's located..i believe its in a mall that used to be popular during the 70's...anyway..ill just look for the article..
this coming april 14 is my orientation for my internship summer class and on april 15, we will be deployed in our respective agencies. I together with 8 more juniors of public admin majors are assigned to "work" in the Bureau of Treasury in Intramuros. we are required to render 200 hours of our time there and must submit 2 terminal papers afterwards.
frankly, i dont want to "work" in BOT because its boring there. not because there wont be anything to do for me but the fact that Im going to work there facing numbers all summer...sheesh...how exciting...I can see it right now, me in front of the computer typing numbers in the database and photocopying documents...gulay....hopefully, im wrong...
right now, the only thought that forces me to look forward to my internship is dressing up for the occasion..harharhar...but i guess i'll be overdressed if im going to wear suits..kinda OA dava?...baka sabihn pa ng mga employees dun na im upstaging them..harharahar...paginitan pa ako..but im really tempted to buy kahit 1 pair of suit lang for a more formal business look...shet nga lang dahil wala pa rin akong masyadong pera...wish ko lang bigyan akong pera just for this...
ill try looking in ukay-ukays kasi there, merong mga great finds talaga na maganda na mura pa!....pupunta din nga ako sa may sta cruz to buy beaded accessories kasi it goes well with such attire... :p
i am a huge HP fan (but not as fanatic as my friend jen.. :p) and im soo excited to get hold of the newest book coming this july..however, i can't say right now if im going to buy 1...i'm sure it will be very expensive coz i believe there will be no paperbacks...only hardbounds...magkano kaya yun?..hmm i think it would cost like perhaps around 2K++..siomai sooo expensive....
the cover is really cool...i like it in fact..sino kaya yung half-blood prince?...some people say it might be dumbledore...i think its hagrid....kasi he's half giant and half wizard...kaya lang sabi nla hindi daw coz it will be a totally new character..well siguro i'll just have to wait for the book and read whoever is gonna be it...
im also excited for the upcoming HP movie which i believe is gonna be out sometime late this year...the last time i visited veritaserum.com i think the filming is over for HP and the goblet of fire ....but im not expecting too much for flick..all i want it to see ishow close the film visuals are with my own imaginings..wla lang curious lang...hehehe...
geez, the Weasley twins are soo tall!..in this scene..harry and the others are going to the Triwizard Quidditch Cup but before they can go there they must go to this hill first where a portkey is installed for transportation...they have to go up to the hill dressed in muggle clothes and must not use magic according to Ministry of Magic guidelines... weird eh?..but well that what makes HP sell..weird, odd yet creative stuffs...JK Rowling is one helluva lucky woman she has very good imagination....sana ako din..hehehehe....
i'm not really a materialistic type of person (maybe except for clothes---period)
but right now i really want to have a digi cam more than anything in this world....
i want to take picture and lots of them...
two weeks ago, i wanted to have a paper quilling set and i go to sleep at night dreaming about them and now im experiencing the same thing about photography....
kaya nga i decided to go back tutoring to earn myself enough doughs just to buy myself even the cheapest one in the market...
saan kaya ako makakakuha ng bargain yet with quality pa rin??
hmmm..any techies out there?....
i went back to tutoring today.shet wala na kasi akong anda...
and today was bloody exhausting!....
i really dont know what to do..i want to pretend na ayos lang ako at ayos lang ang magiging turn out ng vacation na ito but my mind cant rest until masigurado ko na pasado nga ako talaga sa PA 143!

Kaibigan
Huwag kang magpapasindak
Kaibigan,
Easy lang sa iyak
Dahil wala ring mangyayari
Tayo'y walang mapapala
Wag mong pigilan ang pagbuhos ng ulan
May panahon para maging hari
May panahon para madapa
Dahil ang buhay natin ay sadyang ganyan
Umaaraw, umuulan
Umaaraw, umuulan
Ang buhay ay sadyang ganyan
Umaaraw, umuulan
Wag kang maawa sa iyong sarili
Isipin na wala ka nang silbi
Sang dambuhalang kalokohan
Bukas sisikat ding muli ang araw
Ngunit para lang sa may tiyagang
Maghintay...
Kaibigan,
Wag kang magpapatalo
Kaibigan,
Itaas ang noo
Virgo is the sixth Sign of the Zodiac, to be exact, and that's the way Virgos like it: exacting. Those born under this Sign are forever the butt of jokes for being so picky and critical (and they can be), but their 'attention to detail' is for a reason: to help others. Virgos, more than any other Sign, were born to serve, and it gives them great joy. They are also tailor-made for the job, since they are industrious, methodical and efficient. The sense of duty borne by these folks is considerable, and it ensures that they will always work for the greater good.
Virgo is represented in modern Astrology by the Virgin, although this association should not be taken literally. Rather, Virgos tend to take on some of the qualities of a Virgin, things like modesty and humanity. Some might consider them repressed, although Virgins would argue that it's a noble quality, as opposed to a negative one. Most of all, Virgos enjoy indulging their practical and logical side and poring over their projects to the nth degree. To say these folks are good at fact-finding almost understates the case, since Virgos revel in their exacting (some would argue pedantic) behavior and are a whiz with minutiae. Virgins are an asset in the workplace as they can be counted on to get things right the first time, every time--and no detail will be overlooked. They are also balanced and fair in their assessments in keeping with the Mutable Quality assigned to this Sign.
Virgo is ruled by the Planet Mercury, and as portrayed in ancient Roman mythology, Mercury wasn't one to sit still for long. This swift-footed god was a bundle of energy, both physically and mentally, and that pretty much sums up the Virgin's makeup. A Virgo's brain is in overdrive most of the time, which is why these folks get so much done. Those born under this Sign are also able communicators and use their mental acuity to maximum advantage. All of this brainpower can make Virgins prone to skepticism, and can even lead to the kind of overthink, which surely leads to overkill. Thankfully, though, Virgos are also a studious lot and can temper their worst impulses with a bit of careful analysis. Virgos enjoy studying a situation in great detail, whether it's a work project or a friendship. Virgins are truly interested in understanding things. The bane of many Virgos is the perfectionism, which can get in the way of their usual clear thinking. 'I'm not a perfectionist; I'm discriminating!' a Virgo would say, happy in the knowledge that their taste is unparalleled. Along those lines, Virgos are also neat and clean, save for the occasional sloppy Virgin (they do exist). Virgins are also reliable and practical and oh-so-useful to have around.
The Element associated with Virgo is Earth, and in keeping with that, most Virgos are grounded, salt-of-the-earth types. The flash and dash can go to others, since Virgos would much rather be humble and easy-going. That said, Virgins do enjoy material possessions and are (dare we say?) picky about what they bring into their lives. Some might even go as far as calling them self-centered, but it's really more of a desire to surround themselves with what's right--for them. This knack for discernment also serves Virgins well in business, where their decisions are usually dead-on. Those born under this Sign are eminently sensible and use their critical eye well. While Virgins can be worrywarts, they do their best to temper these impulses. However, if this nervousness goes unchecked, it can lead to hypochondria, that ugly skeleton in the Virgo's closet. For that reason, Virgos are extremely health conscious, to the point of being storehouses of information on diet and hygiene. Many Virgos even choose a health or medical career so they won't miss a beat.
Working out is elemental for Virgins, if only so they know intellectually that they're helping themselves physically. See, the benefits of exercise are far more important to Virgos than the process itself. That's why Virgos are likely to time themselves on their runs and get in those 300 sit-ups every day. When it comes to the game of love, Virgos are able to loosen up somewhat and are devoted to their lovers, even if they can be a bit jealous. Since Virgo rules the intestines, worried Virgins need to be wary of bowel upsets. Soothing relief often comes in the way of earth tones, which is why Virgins like to be surrounded by shades of tan and a warm yellow.
The great strength of the Virgo-born is in their practicality, sharp mind and attention to detail. When merged with their willingness to serve, Virgos become essential helpmates. They can be picky--so what?
